With the Las Vegas Crossroads behind us, the 2025 Organized Play season comes to a close.
From Gen Con to Gelsenkirchen, Melbourne to Houston, and Baltimore to Las Vegas, each Crossroads stop was shaped by your battles, your artist interactions, and the stories you swapped across the realm. Thank you, Sorcerers, for bringing the realm to life at every stop.
As we move into the new year, we’re taking time to reflect on the feedback you’ve shared and lessons learned across our 2025 season. Many of you shared what makes Crossroads special, as well as what could make our larger events even better. We want the Avatar of the Realm event to reflect that learning.
With that focus in mind, there will be no additional Crossroads events scheduled for the remainder of the 2025 season. This gives us space to prepare the Avatar of the Realm event properly and to support SCG CON’s growing role in introducing new players to Gothic.
This is temporary. Organized Play events will return in 2026, kicking off with our Avatar of the Realm event. We’ll have more to share on that soon.
SCG CON gatherings will continue to be a pillar of Sorcery structured play in 2026, and Sorcery will remain present at major events throughout the year. The following events will be focused on helping people explore and enjoy Gothic as a set, including introducing new players to the realm.
Play Sorcery at:
- SCG CON Atlanta (Jan 9-11)
- SCG CON Portland (Jan 23-25)
- SCG CON Milwaukee (Feb 20-22)
- SCG CON Richmond (March 6-8)
Coming up first…
SCG CON Atlanta
Sorcery returns to SCG CON Atlanta to open 2026 with a full weekend of Gothic-focused play. Whether you are testing your latest brew, meeting fellow Sorcerers, or stepping into your first match, the Sorcery experience at SCG CON offers something for every type of player.
Learn to Play
For those taking their first steps into the realm, our Learn to Play area offers a guided introduction to Sorcery using the Gothic Prophets of Doom decks. Join us anytime during the weekend, sit with a dedicated instructor, ask questions, cast your first spells, and depart with a booster pack to fuel the next chapter of your Sorcery journey.

Events Throughout the Weekend
Across all three days, players can enjoy a mix of casual and competitive events:
- Daily Preconstructed Events: Open a Gothic Precon and play it as-is.
- Sealed Event (Friday): Build from sealed packs and dive straight into the fray.
- Constructed Event (Saturday): Bring your best Sorcery deck and test it against the field.
- Team Event (Sunday): Join forces with two other players and battle as a trio!
Prizing
During the Preconstructed and Team events, players earn 50 SCG CON Prize Tickets for each round played. In Sealed and Constructed events, every player receives 100 prize tickets just for participating, plus 100 bonus prize tickets for each round they win. Spend them on the prize wall to commemorate your weekend in the realm!
What Else Awaits at SCG CON?
Alongside Sorcery events, SCG CON offers free entry to the convention hall, a bustling vendor area with games and accessories, and a rotating lineup of guest artists. It’s a full weekend experience designed to celebrate TCGs in all forms.

But Atlanta carries two additional rare boons….

Dragonlord Availability
The Dragonlord Mini Set will be available for purchase at SCG CON Atlanta. These will go on sale in the Learn-to-Play booth area on Friday and Saturday at 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm, and Sunday at 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm local times.
As with our previous SCG CON events, if you’re participating in an event during a sales window and would like to purchase Dragonlord, one will be set aside for you so you don’t miss out.
This will be the final opportunity to purchase Dragonlord at an event until the Avatar of the Realm later this year.
Erik’s Curiosa Attendance
Drew Holmes, Erik’s Curiosa’s Event Manager, will be in attendance at SCG CON Atlanta. Beginning in 2026, Erik’s Curiosa staff will next be present at our Avatar of the Realm event.
Thank you to every Sorcerer who helped shape their remarkable year of play. Your feedback, enthusiasm, and support continue to guide the future of Organized Play. With Gothic’s release and the Avatar of the Realm event announcement on the horizon, we look forward to beginning the next chapter of Organized Play together.
Until then, sharpen your spells and prepare for the year ahead!
