We love seeing the creative approach communities put on their Sorcery events, and one summer event has been turning heads - but not just because of its castle-like location, but also the sheer enthusiasm of its organizers. Although, honestly, who wouldn't want to sling spells in an enchanting countryside setting?
From June 27-29, Finley's View Farm in Pennsylvania, will open its rustic stone buildings and medieval atmosphere to Sorcerers looking to participate in the Battle of Elverson Fields. Hosted by a team-up of several of Sorcery’s most passionate community supporters, including representation from Finley’s Fearsome Farmers, Uhr’s Realm, the Contested Reality, the Ruby Core-ier, and the Sorcery’s Gambler’s Club, this collaboration provides a weekend of fun with an emphasis on both gameplay and the social opportunities to connect with fellow players from around the region.

While gameplay will be at the core of the experience, Scott from the Contested Reality stresses the social aspect, “There are so many friendships that have formed in our community, even a few rivalries - wolves vs. frogs, anyone?” This isn't just an opportunity to get together and play Sorcery, it's a chance to connect and make new connections as well.
Set over three days, there’s plenty of moments for players, collectors, and art appreciators to enjoy. A collection of Sorcery art will be displayed on site, while players will be able to participate in numerous game formats, including a chaos draft with packs from Sorcery’s Alpha, Beta, and Arthurian Legends set, will be opened. Anticipation is high for some Unique pulls!

Additional Constructed and Sealed tournaments will help provide entertainment throughout the weekend, with the final send-off being titled “The Last Huzzah,” a Two-Headed Dragon Constructed event pairing players up to do battle in the wildly popular 2v2 community generated format.
“Meeting in person to play is always a good time,” Scott shares, ““We really want everyone who attends The Battle of Elverson Fields to leave the event with lasting memories of exciting Sorcery gameplay and beautiful setting, but also the one-of-kind gaming experience.”
