The first wave of stores have been selected for the launch of Sorcery Organized Play 2026.

These stores will receive a Cornerstone Kit, unlocking the ability to host an official Cornerstone Championship and rewarding Sorcerers who gather at their local game store.

Each Cornerstone Championship is your store’s annual celebration of Sorcery. A chance for everyone to come together for a special event that honors not only the game, but the community you’ve built around it.

Sorcery: Organized Play - Cornerstone Allocation May 2026

Gen Con, the largest and longest-running gaming convention in North America, once again calls players from across the world to Indianapolis. And once again, Sorcery: Contested Realm answers.

This July 30-August 2, Sorcery returns to Gen Con with four days of events, including not just one, but two Grand Contest events.

Last year, you filled the halls. Learn-to-Play tables overflowed, events sold out, and we were incredibly humbled by what is becoming one of our cherished traditions.

Across four days, tables fill and players from around the world come together through the shared language of the game. Every match adds to the story. Every connection expands the circle.


We’re thrilled to announce that Gen Con will host two Grand Contest events:

These are defining events of the 2026 Organized Play season, where preparation meets opportunity, and where players from across the globe will gather to test their mastery of the realm.

All participants and top finishers will compete for exclusive 2026 Organized Play rewards, including:

 for top finisher per 32 players (e.g. top 2 players if 33-64 players)

We value friendly competition, but we also value showing up and being part of the community! Therefore, we will also give away an uncut Gothic sheet to a random participant at each of the two Grand Contests at Gen Con!

Sealed & Draft Events - Build in the Moment

For players who thrive in discovery and adaptation, Gen Con features a full slate of limited formats. And if you're traveling solo without teammates for the Team Sealed events, we'll match you with other players so you don't miss out on the fun.

For any of the Team Events, you can just show up! You don’t need a team in advance.

Open 6 boosters, build a deck, and play. Then open 2 more boosters, update your deck, and play another game. Repeat a third time! You’re guaranteed 10 boosters, plus a bonus for winning your last game!

You don’t need a team in advance! At the event, we’ll form teams of three, open 18 boosters, and make three decks! Win as a team when two of your three members take their matches.

Gen Con is the perfect place to take your first steps into the realm. Our 

 are open to all, with guided instruction from experienced volunteers to help you find your footing. You’ll walk away with a Preconstructed deck, a booster pack, and the confidence to take your next steps in the realm.

On Saturday night, we celebrate Sorcery and its community together in our annual Gen Con tradition. The 

 is the social heart of the weekend: a place to meet fellow players, connect with artists, trade cards, and share in the community that makes Sorcery what it is. Just for showing up, you’ll receive booster packs, and there will be lots of door prizes. Veterans will tell you: this event is not to be missed!

New to the realm? Gen Con is the perfect place to start. Our Learn-to-Play sessions are open to all, with experienced volunteers guiding you through the fundamentals. You'll leave with a Preconstructed deck, a booster pack, and everything you need to keep playing.

If there are events you want to play, build your wishlist on the Gen Con website before Sunday, it'll save you valuable time when registration opens at noon Eastern.

Throughout the weekend, attendees will also be available to visit the Erik’s Curiosa booth and celebrate the growing Sorcery community together.
