Here’s How to Experience Avatar of the Realm

This November 13-15, Sorcerers from around the world will gather in Boston for Avatar of the Realm 2026, our biggest weekend of Sorcery: Contested Realm of the year.

The main event may be sold out, but Avatar of the Realm is bigger than the tournament floor. There’s the worldwide launch of Frost Mage vs. Lavamancer, ten artists bringing the realm to life in person, live coverage for anyone watching from afar, and a first look at where we’re headed in 2027.

Whether you’re competing, joining us in Boston, or watching from home, here’s how to be part of the weekend.

Frost Mage vs. Lavamancer Launches at Avatar of the Realm

On November 13, Frost Mage vs. Lavamancer arrives worldwide, and the Erik’s Curiosa staff will be celebrating the launch alongside you live at Avatar of the Realm.

While the new Frost Mage vs. Lavamancer cards will not be legal for play in Saturday’s Avatar of the Realm Constructed Championship, you won’t have to wait to put them to the test. The cards will be featured in Friday’s Sealed event and Sunday’s Team Sealed event.

Meet the Artists of the Realm

Art is at the heart of Sorcery, and this year we’re excited to welcome ten artists whose work has helped bring the Realm to life.

Throughout the weekend, you’ll have opportunities to meet the artists, see their work in person, and have your favorite cards signed. You do not need a main-event ticket to meet our participating artists.

The Artist Pass

If you’re local and you want to visit with the artists. The Artist Pass is a free option that provides access to the artist area where you can meet the artists and Erik’s Curiosa staff, get cards signed, buy prints, and have access to the Erik’s Curiosa retail booth. It does not include access to the main event space, play spaces, lunches, keynotes, or other Avatar of the Realm activities. Artist passes can be picked up on site, the day of the event.

Family Ticket

For those with an Avatar of the Realm Ticket, who might be traveling with a companion (spouse, partner, plus one) there are a limited number of Family Tickets available to allow them access to the same spaces you’ll have access to. Please check your email for additional information.
