Sorcerers.
Following the overwhelming success of "The Four Elements" Alpha Preconstructed Decks on Kickstarter, we are excited to announce long awaited details of the Beta Preconstructed Decks, and open up preorders through Team Covenant.
Designed with the needs of new players in mind, these decks offer an affordable and practical entry point into the thrilling world of Sorcery: Contested Realm.
The Beta Precons are specifically tailored to help newcomers jump into the game with ease and will each include a new elemental avatar. Depicted in the glorious hand-painted art of Francesca Baerald, these avatars will introduce new abilities and strategies for you to master. Each deck comes with a carefully curated selection of cards that are designed to work together and support these new strategies, allowing new players to focus on learning the game's mechanics without being overwhelmed by the complexities of deck-building.
We understand that every time we release a unique and powerful card in a starter deck, it detracts a little from the experience of finding those uniques in booster packs and effectively lowers the rarity of those cards. For this reason, you will notice that the Beta Precons contain fewer unique cards than their Alpha counterparts. But don’t let that fool you, these new decks are every bit as powerful when they hit the table.
We also want to use the opportunity that this second print enables to onboard as many new sorcerers to their journey to our realm. And one of the best ways to do that is to offer a very competitive Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $40 for the complete box of four Beta Preconstructed Decks.
Similar to the Beta booster boxes, our intention is to make these available all over the world through regular distribution channels. To serve the immediate demand, our friends over at Team Covenant have opened up worldwide preorders for these as of today.
Finally, before you go, to save you the trouble of zooming and digitally enhancing the above image we’d like to introduce two of our new avatars, the Sparkmage and the Geomancer!
Stay tuned to find out more about them, their rivals, and the precise contents of the decks in the coming months.
