A bastion of TCG play since 2018, ELD’s Time Vault Games hopes to translate their long-held passion into one of the largest Sorcery events in New England, capable of seating 42 players in their game store located in Bellingham, Massachusetts.

Eric has seen his local community enthralled by the mechanics and art that Sorcery, noting “The art direction is perfect!” As a self-proclaimed lifelong competitive gamer, Eric notes the blending of form and function allows for an experience unparalleled in TCGs. “The Avatar gives players a stronger personal connection to the game, the Atlas deck is a brilliant design tweak,’ he shares, “it’s like [Sorcery] took the promises of earlier TCGs, and found ways to fulfill them.”

The Eld Sorcery Open positions itself as a qualifier event in the fan-organizer Courtesan Cup, a series of events looking to bring Sorcerers together from around the United States. While several of these events are taking place in 

, Eric notes that what sets the “New England Courtesan Cup” apart is its “unparalleled support from the community.” Generous donations have expanded the prize pool, offering additional rewards for both the Top 8 finishers and door prizes. Notably, the Champion will be bestowed a custom wooden deck box, crafted with care by the store owner.

Beyond the thrill of competition and the lure of prizes, Eric hopes attendees will carry away unforgettable experiences, commemorated by an event-specific pin. “Just like someone can never relive the first concert experience,” Eric shares, he hopes to position this event as one that will provide participants with fond memories and a place in the history of the early events of

enthusiasts across Europe prepare to converge at the White Rabbit Game Store in Aachen, Germany, for the highly anticipated Ascanrask Event on June 1st. Spearheaded by 

, this fan-run Sorcery event promises to unite players from various corners of the continent in celebration of the Sorcery community via a 32-person sealed tournament for players of all skill levels.

Nestled in downtown Aachen, the White Rabbit Game Store offers unparalleled convenience, with easy access from the main train station and ample parking nearby. Its central location makes it an ideal hub for travelers, while the city’s rich history provides additional opportunities for those looking to explore beyond the tournament event.

The Ascanrask Event will feature a 32-person sealed tournament, with the primary focus on fostering a sense of community and camaraderie. 

"We are looking to gather both old and new players, as well as people just getting into the game," Sofie, co-host of the popular Sorcery channel 

With this spirit of inclusivity, the event looks to be accessible to all, focusing on a sealed format and an emphasis on building connections both during the event and with a pre-event dinner and meet-and-greet, an element Sofie explains is almost equally as important as the event itself.

"We want to focus on the community part and building a great starting point for future events, and this is why we are encouraging people to join us for a player’s dinner." Here, players have the opportunity to connect, as well as to meet with Sofie, Jens, and Jürgen from Cardboard Guide and Nerd and Proud of It.

With attendees expected from Germany, Denmark, The Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, and even England, the event promises to be a truly diverse cross-section of the European community. With generous prize support and a welcoming atmosphere, participants are guaranteed a memorable experience.

Your ticket price not only gains you entry to the event but it also supports the New Zealand Cancer Society. So come and the contest realms with your fellow sorcerers and trade some spells, all the while helping to support a good cause.

For the Apprentice Wizards: Learn-to-Play

Grab a friend and come find our booth where you can learn to play Sorcery, sneak in some casual games, and even earn preconstructed decks that you can take home!

Whether you’re a fresh convert or grizzled veteran of the realm, we’ll also be running draft events at our play area, both days around mid-day. These will be limited to one draft per player per day, but if you come both days, you can join in both drafts! If you want to bring along your constructed decks, there will be plenty of free-play space to put them to the test against another challenger.
