The goal of this deck was to leverage Animists ability for maximizing versatility and card-draw, while also keeping the cost waaaay down. The ultimate combo is whipping out Armageddon as a minion and giving it Excalibur, then proceeding to swing for 14 and suffer zero consequences.
Death Dealer, Caelestus, and the triple affinity sites Joyous Garde and Gastenbury Tor are entirely optinal. Death dealer is just here because he's cool and I happened to have one. The others help the deck circumvent it's weaknesses, but are expensive and so they are optional.
Ideally, having Caelestus, King Arthur, Armageddon and 2 copies of xxxxx allows you to have a total of 5 potential users for Excalibur. Death Dealer does have some synergy because cleaning the Realm and setting up Excalibur with one of the 4 affinity minions over the next turn or two can put your opponent in a very compromised position.
My main concern is that the majority of these spells only cost 2, so in the mid-late game you may need more 3-4 cost Animist Spirits to actually stay competitive. But what we lack in raw power we make up for with sheer numbers and versatility. Also, if all else fails just rush out tower of babel, then nuke the realm with Armageddon and try again.
