The appeal of this deck is very simple - what if you could reliably have a Vampire in the realm on turn five, or even earlier?
One easy way to get there is with Pathfinder. Pathfinder always plays best as a mono-element build due to the random nature of his site draws, but mono-fire is by far the most dominant and powerful build you'll see.
By being mono-air, we are denied some of fire's powerful removal. However our element is second-best at dealing direct damage, particularly with Magic Missiles, which is a phenomenally versatile Magic. Most of our minions being Airborne is also a significant advantage.
The deck functions best as a midrange build. The classic blowout of Vampire plus Whirling Blades is really what you want to pull off here, and the game is often essentially over if you can land it.
