Everything comes in twos. The avatar only allows matching pairs of Uniques and starts you two cards down, so the whole deck is built to claw that back. Queen of Midland draws you a card whenever the opponent is ahead on cards - she's basically always on. Both Torrid Omphalos draw you an extra spell every turn, Morgana shows up holding three cards of her own, Tithe pulls three sites, and Book of the Dead plus Pendragon Legacy recycle everything that dies. Losing a Unique hurts less when the second copy is coming and the first can come back. The payoff for the weird deckbuilding rule is two of every bomb. Two Rhitta Gawrs, two Balors, two Death Dealers, two Michaels. Camelot discounts them, Lady Iseult catches them when they'd die, and Saint of Redemption slows aggro down while you set up. Rebecks gives your Giants Charge - that's Rhitta, Balor, and both dragons' worth of pressure. Start slow on purpose: play sites with the avatar every turn, get an Omphalos and the Stone down early, and let the engines make up the hand. The back-row lands only pay while they're in your back row, so plan your walk. Collection carries paired swaps - Cores for threshold problems, Inquisition and King of the Realm for the matchups that want them. If games run dry, Pnakotic Manuscript is the next card in.
