Intro:
The concept of this deck is to play a mid-range aggro game where you apply consistent pressure to your opponent. Spells are meant to be a bit of aggro-control, use them to control the board and eliminate threats. I'm not shy on blowing up my own minions and artifacts if it clears threats, Avatar's life points are also a resource that can be burned off if it means I can keep applying pressure to my opponent. I built the deck in about 20 minutes, from stuff I've drafted over the last few months, at 5am in the morning.
So it's not great, but I'll upgrade it as I play more.
Tournament HIstory:
Went 1-2 in a 10 player tournament. Significantly upgraded afterwards with mostly exceptional cards and a few cheap elites.
Went 2-2 in a 14 player tournament. Placed 4th. Upgraded deck performed MUCH better.
Went 1-3 in a 11 player tournament. Placed 6th. I was tired after work and made repeated mistakes that cost me two games.
Deck Strategy:
The original concept of the deck is to play a moderately, aggressive aggro-control game where you aim to apply consistent pressure to your opponent each turn. This is achieved by eliminating threats and controlling the board, burning off your opponent's life points. This is achieved a number of ways in the deck, with the minions, spells and the Avatar's ability. It's not by any degree a foolproof plan, you'll play games where you get destroyed and you'll play games where you dominate.
