At last, a second actual deck. It's not perfect, but it's finally in sleeves and its own box. Pulled a foil Interrogator on release day and knew it was a good one, but didn't quite know what to do with it. I think this is a pretty good start.
The initial strategy was Frog Torture. Use water token generation to mob the opponent with otherwise harmless strike triggers. Hence the name. After Grapple Shot got phased out of my first deck it went in here for a free jumping of the gun with MVP Men of Leng.
Almost every synergy in the game is meant to facilitate dropping two-mana minions in your opponent's face as soon as possible. First turn Tower, Leng. Spore Spouts, Leng in face. Summoning Sphere, Leng in face. Falconer and Bats in face. Hell, Damion is only 2 power, you can Spore Spout him to the opponent's face late game!
It also has a good defensive setup with Sylvan Splendor if you can't just throw beasts in face. Lets you draw off each creature even if the opponent is untouchable. You'd be surprised how many Faeries and Beasts there are in these sorts of aggro strats. At least 15 in the initial build. It could be aggressive if you're bold enough and only going face.
You'll notice there's no Dank Omphalos in it. It's a nonbo for this strategy; you want to airdrop your dudes in your opponent's face. If it eats an artifact, it's a dead draw. If it eats a Lugbog and I couldn't play the Dank on a water site, it's a dead draw. Hits Mimic, it's a dead draw. Hits anything that crosses borders and the Dank isn't in the back row, your Ruler of Thul is also a very ded draw. It fails the Vampire Nocturnus test.
UPDATE: After a few bruises and some reality checks with regards to curve, some changes to the strategy were necessary. But there are several branching paths for this.
One, the Submerge/Burrowing route with Putrid Presence. Besides being immune to environmental kills, your minions will be able to reduce the opponent's life without any real contest, and make him regret paying lumps of flesh up front to stifle your progress. This was kinda just a bonus, so it took a backseat.
Two, the Sword Route. The biggest threat to your Turn 2 Leng in Face, is the Turn 2 Ponded Lugbog. Or Bruin. Torshammar can even the odds against other weenies and Bosk Trolls, but how can you get hits in when there's a 4-power minion? You gotta make a 5-power one! Blade of Thorns is quite the sleeper hit and it's good on everything. Whether you're trading Frog tokens for Powries, one-upping an inconvenient Bosk or Unicorn, or dunking a Lord of Lies from downtown with a Vampire, it's always worth the mana and often worth the life. Makes every strike more effective and opens things up very nicely for an eventual inclusion of Whirling Blades if you'd rather not jam so many Uniques in a Court setting. Your opponent is not likely to steal it as they can't change their mind, their life is a critical resource in this matchup and time is not on their side, and in the rare case they do take advantage of it and try to race you, there's always Mimic and Rock. You should definitely have more than one Mimic in a budget build. There's no laws against the Exceptionals, Batman.
Still, gotta run SOME land disruption to stop Mock Court from ruining your day. Fields does a good job and neuters the really nasty defensive sites as well as Druid's first line of defense. You're gonna need them.
I've tested it favorably against Pathfinder, Archie, and AoE. Struggles against Druid for obvious reasons, haven't tested against Necro yet but Pied Piper and Defiler Spire should help, the deck has few Evils and they all either gain life or spawn right in their faces. And if they go to Door on their own turn, you can kill them instantly!
