Deck Status: Sporadic changes, looking for a good path to start and stick to.
In short this deck is a never ending project including one of my favorite gothic cards, Feign Death. a 3 mana triple effect card just sounds absurd in concept and in practice sometimes it is. Magician fit the theme best because there are only so many deathrites in the game currently, and the potential to squeeze in Chaoswish combo was just too tempting.
I intend on this list continuing to see updates over time and to hopefully utilize some slightly lesser seen cards in the process. Feel free to check the maybe board and make changes (Cards are generally added/changed as I acquire new cards myself), and just enjoy something a little different! The deck has served me decently well in locals, hopefully it will do the same for you. If you want to see where my thoughts are with changes for the deck I will try to keep track of everything with the time stamps below.

I'm trying out a bit of something different with the deck by splashing in some red cards. The deck lacks larger threats leaning into mostly air and water, and the addition of the Pookas could make for some great early feign death turns to get ahead. Additional removal from Sir Lamorak and Sir Mordred should suffice to add some more control to the deck. Stags were serving well as a 4 power warded body, though the deathrite itself almost never had any effect on the game so I'm going to try some time without them. I'm also going to add in the other cores to try to reduce the need for sites and include Wiccan Tools in hopes of being able to manage some of these high threshold costs and supply some additional draw filtering.

From previously adding in red cards I found pretty quickly that the Pookas can serve a purpose but are much less threatening in most cases than the sticky nature of Estranged Loner, however Sir Mordred and Sir Lamorak immediately provided some harder to answer problems for opponents and made fighting the aggro matchups a hint easier overall. I missed the draw of an early played Grandmaster Wizard but also much liked the 2-mana draw of the Wiccan Tools in the deck. The additional cores were pushing my luck, often times the Onyx Core was just a dead draw in waiting. In short I don't plan to completely remove fire from the deck yet, but the goal will be to leave in Sir Mordred and Sir Lamorak along with Wiccan Tools to increase minion threat levels while also retaining the ability to draw further threats. Sites may be subject to change to either cover their threshold recs or scrap the threshold entirely and vouch for Wiccan Tools or Four Waters to void the need.
