This deck is entirely tailored towards making it difficult for my opponents to enter my territory by setting up an obstacle course, and punishing mid game with large minions and water trickery. Utilizing dangerous sites like , , , and , and minion "mines" like or makes traversal for my opponent difficult. Site placement is the most important thing. Ideally, getting the hard to traverse sites in my frontline, and keeping utility or threshold fixing sites in the back. (Obvious, but not always easy). I added for site manipulation mid to late game, if my early site placement isn't ideal.
The deck struggles against heavy removal, or heavy aggro. Getting out-paced, or getting my site placement blocked is almost always the death of me. This is partially why is used.
Mulligans are super important, especially for sites. This is why I normally like going second with this deck. Our meta plays with the seer rule when you're on the draw, allowing you a scry before your turn. This is massive for increasing probability of getting decent starting obstacles.
Best case is starting with one water and one earth site (Ideally both are obstacles like and ), and an or .
A is also an ideal second site, especially with a in hand. Placing Rapids on either side of the Pit completely cuts off access to a large portion of my frontline for most minions.
The rest of the deck is all for value and control, with some fun card interactions. and is an obvious combo. Casting a on My own dragging and disabling a threat, then using to trade Gargantula with a second threat and killing both at the end of my turn can drastically change the board state.
is an interesting one, especially with Seer running the show. Using or to get into their backline, then Shapeshifting them into the Minion I know is on top of My deck (Ideally Pudge, Gloams, , or Lord of Lies), will always catch my opponent off guard.
My collection is mostly utility and removal.
The deck wins by either using shenanigans and getting a minion in close, from a ,, or just closing in with an army if removal goes they way i'd like.
