The idea for the deck came from seeing what the two best Avatars (arguably) in the current format do:
Fire splash version:
mainboard and in the collection to address or other cemetery strategies. Between and , you have several ways to access when needed.
gives extra cemetery hate while providing Fire threshold.
gives you the ability to destroy minions on Water sites. There are a surprising amount of Earth minion spellcasters (, , ) that are able to cast . also allows even the most unassuming or to suddenly wipe the board. Because you are controlling the you are able to limit the collateral damage greatly.
is an excellent finisher that can also destroy a submerged , opposing burrowed , damage an out of mask, and remove Wards on a crucial turn.
in the collection helps burst your opponent down or finish while on Death's Door.
is the card that has overperformed the most for me. It is excellent after a but your minions ignoring silence, disable, and immobile is relevant in many ways. , , etc. no longer stop you. is now able to attack and/or reposition. is no longer silencing your own minions so you are able to cast and an and now he can still have his genesis ability as well as his ward that turn. Another relevant thing that Onslaught can do is give your charge in case you need to quickly disable a site full of blockers or important minions.
allows you to do some niche things. Destroying everything at the sites you destroy is relevant because it gives you another card to destroy auras, artifacts (against Avatars like and ), and minions. also gives you a spell to destroy your own . A niche thing you can do is destroy your own sites so your opponent can't attack it. It has happened in several games where I destroy 2-4 of my own sites in the late game so my opponent is unable to attack the sites they thought they were going to be able to attack and put me to Death's Door. is able to replace adjacent rubbles that are created by and the tech explained above makes it worth the cost.
