The premise of this deck is to utilize discard effects to limit your opponent's options to eliminate the numerous small threats in the deck. As a bonus, many of the effects in this deck Banish cards, which prevent Deathrite abilities from resolving and also inhibits decks that utilize the cemetery, particularly Archimago and Deathspeaker.

After a number of games at my local store, on TTS, and at SorceryCon, the deck has reached this composition. I removed Sphere of Animosity as I have found that the Persecutor needs to be able to move and be aggressive, so the Sphere could actually backfire onto me. Quarrelsome Kobolds was also a difficult choice to remove, but I wanted to try out Swiven Scouts. Between the Scouts, Accusation, Feast, etc., I have found that I am aware of my opponent's complete hand throughout most of the game. I also opted to add Wiccan Tools so that the Pith Imps could cast their stolen spell, and also to replace the draw from Blink's removal. Grapple Shot was added to make the deck more aggressive. Askelon Phoenix was removed in favor of Legion of Gall, which feels much more in theme with the deck since it banishes so many cards. I also refined the Collection to a broader option of spells.
