The general strategy of this deck is to play agressive and keep up the pressure with the double draw from sorcerer after 4-5 sites. Knowing when to draw spells vs when to grab another site is very important. Get to 4 sites at least, then start drawing 2 spells. If your hand has tons of gas, you can take a turn off drawing spells to play a site so you can get closer to double spelling.
Why mono fire and why Sorcerer?
Mono fire allows us to include more generically good sites to help answer specific issues rather than spending sites on meeting threshold. Wuthering Heights is probably the best site in the deck. Sea of Ash is another answer for submerged or burrowed minions, maybe too narrow, but in a mono element list we can afford to have niche answers. I didnt have a chance to play with Imperial Road before sorcery con, but this is one i am going to test as well. It gets us to 4 sites earlier and either doesn't ramp our opponent or gets them to play a site that should be easier to attack for us.
Towns can make this deck extremely fast. We have a ton of 3 mana exceptionals that are very agressive. With Sorcerer, we can reasonably draw two 3 mana plays every turn and actually play them for only 4 mana total. Imagine turn 4 playing two redcaps. Or playing Siege Giant and Corruptor freak for only 5 mana and throwing the corruptor to your enemy site immediately.
Sorcerer is slower than Pathfinder since we are drawing less cards until about turn 8-9. However, we gain consistency in sites and site placement. We can choose where to put Wuthering Heights, we can place Smokestacks so it doesn't silence sites we care about, etc. This is valuable and I think worth the lower card draw in the early game.
2/21 - Sorcery Con
I went 4-2 for day 1 to make the 2nd day! Felt like a really good showing for my first big tournament. MVP has been Dragonnettes, Redcaps, Raiders, and Kobolds (i think as eveyone expects). Manticore would have won me a game but I attacked my opponents Wuthering Heights next to a thin ice. Just gotta learn from each loss. Infiltrate got played once and turned off from a watchtower. With all of the ways to remove stealth (silence, disable effects, etc), im reconsidering Infiltrate. Corruptor Freak is great, threatening 5 damage a turn is fantastic.
Day 2, I went 1-1 to end the tournament 5-3. Really happy with my showing for the event. I think with more experience I could have done better. I had some mis plays in my loss that could have turned the tide. 1st was accidentally drawing a site instead of a spell. I literally just wasn't looking and drew from the wrong deck. 2nd wasn't 100% a misplay, but something i should spend more time thinking about. I had board control and got my corrputor freak pulled into a troll bridge. I let the freak die instead of discarding, which isn't really 100% a misplay in all situations, but i think keeping him alive would have been better than any of the spells in my hand. Especially as sorcerer, I can always draw more.
