Deck is designed to have a super-control front end, using Skeletons to block aggro decks and prevent Interrogator from gaining a foothold while building up to a big top-end finish. Removing Air provides a better land-base, but does leave it vulnerable to things like Acid Rain.
Straight blue does allow for Island Leviathan as an alternate finisher and the Floodplain can help keep pesky Spiders at bay.
Removed Gnarled Wendigo as you don't need to have a big aggro push, and killing off your skeletons for something that can't survive on Thin Ice is counter to what the deck is trying to do.
If land destruction becomes prevalent will add Order of the Sacred Oak, but no seeing that locally, so removing those for now.
The key is to put the best 4 power creatures in Blue on the board. They can survive on Thin Ice and will be hard to control. So the Failed Mutation and Hyperparasite and Sacred Stag fit in perfectly. Then once at 6 or 7 mana can pump out the big creatures that will end the game quickly.
