In an ongoing attempt to optimize mortals tribal, I present to you The Cunning of Man.
this deck wants to ramp up with landmass and cores while getting out chump blockers with villages and outpower aggro and midrange with beefy bodies like Phalanx, Amazon Warriors, Wyvern and giants while exploiting toolbox effects like common sense, toolbox and bullet to deal with problem strategies.
I splashed a tiny bit of air for additions quick damage from grapple (worth splashing for alone) and death blow (bolt and zap. It’s a bummer when you have your opponent on DD and can seal the deal).
I imagine Archi is a problem, so an additional carrion beetles main is probably a good call since it’s really all you’ve got. I had mismanaged mortuary innit but you are still giving Archi access to great spells like landmass, bury, earthquake and craterize so what’s the use? Don’t want to lose the plot though.
the tool box:
call to war can grab a phalanx, bannermen, order, or shield maidens, depending on what’s going on. You have mayors and a king too since it’s ultimately a mortals deck so let’s commit. They play well with the militia and villages too.
common sense for dispel if you need to get rid of a pesky famine or sphere. Bury is usually good. You can also grab another Amazon or grapple if you need it. Usually you’re going for a landmass. tool box is the same with perhaps the addition of scent hounds for infiltrate and beetles for Archi.
bullet can snag a bannermen or an order if your playing against a token strategy, but I’m really impressed with trust crossbow right now, and may even add one to the man deck. There are other options I’m sure, this deck is wip.
