This is the deck that my play group knows as 'the frog deck'.
I play it for fun and it's slowly becoming more competitive.
The deck began as a combo in Arthurian Legends and sprouted with Frog support in Gothic.
The initial combo was:
, , .
This would allow each frog to throw the spear around the world and deal 21 damage in 1 turn. (turn 4, or turn 3 with a core)
With Gothic we made this combo slightly more achievable using and keeping our in the collection.
With the inclusion of we can now replace another unique element of the combo for a better chance at "getting there". Many inclusions in the deck are common to water decks with the release of Gothic as the stronger beaters are in water now.
We also have other ways of utilising our frogs:
Combos are a spectacle to behold and can bring a lot of fun to a game; but this deck has other ways to win. We have plenty of top water cards to battle with, and a comfortable level of versitile removal proven necessary to win in a traditional manner.
Water boasts enemy moving cards in each set so we want to esnure we are capitalising that movement where we can with cards like , , , , , and .
Our prime movers are the usual suspects , and .
In essence this deck preferrs mid and late game matchups, and can punish aggro with denial sites.
