Here are my thoughts about the deck in a random and jumbled mess that I will later compile into a thoughtful and meaningful primer.
Are you ready to command the army of the Undead?
Now I know what you’re saying. “Why don’t I just play Necromancer?!”
Well you can if you want. However I think the Necromancers ability is ok at best. Corruptor turning all your Mortals into Undead opens up some fun and exciting possibilities. None of which are possible with Necromancer.
To start off, you are the corruptor. All your Mortal minions are undead. That includes your Foot soldiers.
This decks goal is to make a lot of dudes, and buff them.
How to make undead army:
Roughly half’s the sites in this deck can make either Foot soldiers or Skeletons.
Your spells do the rest of the work. Raise Militia, Border Militia, Exhume, Undead Ambush, and Guards!.
Skeleton Mage helps you recycle Raise/Border Militia.
If you get an Orb of Baal out, your opponent will drown in the undead mass to which you have created.
Maximizing Site Borders:
Raise/Border militia really depend on you having sites bordering enemy sites. Still determining the best case scenario for playing sites. Ideally you want to play a site every turn you can. The more sites you play, the higher likelihood you’ll be bordering an enemy site.
How to keep your undead army alive and kill your opponent with it:
Let’s face it, Rain of arrows and/or Murder of Crows are going to ruin your day eventually. This deck offers a variety of ways in order to counter them. Firstly, most of your minions buff nearby units.
Shield Maidens, Worrywarts, Death Knights, Bannermen, and Undead King all buff your Undead masses to survive the onslaught of 1 damage to everything spells.(You better watch out for Golgor though.)
Shield Wall is also your friend. Get a mass of 4+ undead minion tokens and pop a Shield wall. They will not die.
Other fun shit:
Carrionette becomes an AMAZING card in this deck.
Being able to play 3 and bring back any of your minions from the cemetery is insane.
Witching Hour is devastating if you have 4+ tokens.
DOG PILE!! Your opponent better be careful when attacking you. Your skeletons may not be able to move to defend, but your foot soldiers sure can.
Bleeding Skull is kind of ridiculous in this deck. Oh you want to Rain of Arrows? Better think twice!
Exhume works on any land site. Unless your opponent is water, you can summon skeletons in their back field pretty early on.
Food for thought:
Don’t group up a lot of minions into one space. I have had a minor explosion ruin me.
