The deck's goal is to cast two copies of Craterize as quickly as possible—the second one triggered by Archago's ability—to bring the opponent to Death's Door and finish them off with any remaining damage available in the deck.
Arcane Barrier can also serve as a finisher, requiring 10 mana and a direct line of sight to the enemy Avatar; however, it trades that role for the versatility of acting as a removal tool during the early and mid-game.
In the meantime, the deck controls the match with spells, accelerates mana production using Landmass, and draws cards via Browse, Blink, Common Sense, and Spellcasters—the latter of which can be sacrificed using Pact with the Devil.
For this strategy, I run only single copies of standard spells—allowing me to tutor for them with Common Sense and Toolbox while maintaining flexibility in my choices—and use the freed-up space to include more card-draw resources and mass-removal spells.
