What a wacky avatar is! This deck is centered around power-buffing cards (especially and , which go from being unplayable to some of the most efficient damage spells ever made in this deck), artifacts, and incidental lifegain. The goal here is to make something that is highlights the strength of the avatar while also being flexible to whatever situation may arise.
I'll start out by talking about the artifacts. There are really three types of artifacts in this deck:
The minion suite is almost entirely chosen to benefit the overall gameplan. We want to use effects that punish minions, not avatars. Disabling, a la and , are our friends here. Incidental lifegain is starting to get pretty good with the likes of , , and , so long as a doesn't spoil our fun. And + help shift combat to our favor, letting the Bladedancer get free or almost free removal. Besides this are, in my opinion, staples.
I've mentioned the two all-star spells, but right behind them are , which for our deck is basically a one-mana kill against anything so long as we don't have to play a spell that turn, and obvious friends to earth-water and . I'm also trying out for now. It's pretty efficient in this deck, but it could also feel very bad if we draw it after getting ed. We will see.
On the site side, I've already mentioned , which pairs extra wonderfully with our trinkets but also lets us push slower or faster with our build. We want to slow down creature builds as much as possible. That means s, that means , that means , and that means , which would you look at that, also disable minions so we can pick them off.
Overall this deck wants to take the speed of a faster midrange deck and marry it with the non-interactivity of a Voltron deck. I'm excited to try this out and refine it from here!
