Draw Engine: Find the Manuscript

Your first major goal is to filter through your Sites until you find Trade Encampment.

Its genesis ability lets you swap an artifact in your hand with one from your collection of the same rarity. This deck has 6 unique artifacts that are playable, but ideally swapped with this for the manuscript to fire up your draw engine early.

The primary target is Pnakotic Manuscript. This seems perfect for a Necromancer avatar. Once online, you effectively get a 1-mana “draw a card” every turn, keeping your hand full and your graveyard options strong.

Self-Defense: Survive the Early Onslaught

Your avatar naturally provides Skeletons that you can use to block incoming threats.

You also run a solid suite of removal to keep the board stable:

• Black Plague
• Atlantean Fate
• Polymorph
• Mesmerism
• Symmetric Suffering

Between disposable blockers and efficient answers, you can usually hold the line until your graveyard is stocked.

The Attack: Unleash the Monsters

While the deck includes many high-cost minions, you’re not expected to cast them all. Instead, the deck uses multiple cheat-into-play methods depending on your draw:

• Shapeshift - transform from the top of your deck
• Monstermorphosis - transform your skeleton into a giant Monster from your hand
• Raise Dead, Boneyard, Orpheus' Crossing - resurrect from your cemetery
• This flexibility ensures that no matter which zone your threats end up in, whether is your hand, deck, or graveyard, you have a way to bring them to life.
