The 2/2 opening hand can be really tough sometimes and cause a stall.
You want to see a few different cards in your opening hand for best chances at fixing your threshold and mana or to cheat out the big guys.
Spellbook:
- Shrine of the Dragonlord
- Four Waters of Paradise
- De Vermis Mysteriis
- Mother Nature
- Lilith
Atlas:
- Tri Sites
- The Colour of Outer Space
- Avalon
- Pristine Paradise
- Gothic Ramp Cities (Plenty or Glass)
The goal is to get to 7 mana as quick as possible with 3 of each threshold.
Start the game by filling the back row when possible to delay an Aggro opponent getting to your side. Hopefully by the time they reach you, youre dropping a 7+ power dragon in their minions face.
There's a few combos that make this deck explode out of no where that you should try to make happen where possible.
- De Vermis Mysteriis / Cradle of Etherum / Shrine of the Dragonlord / Camelot nearby - Cast dragons for 2 mana no threshold
- Plague of Frogs / Pnakotic Manuscript - Kill the Frogs to draw 7 (or 14 if you hit both Plague of Frogs)
- Ruler of Thul / Plague of Frogs - swing 7 (or 14) 1 power Frogs back door
- Highland Princess / Orpheus Crossing - Play HP to fish out Ring of Morrigan, block with HP, replay her from cemetery with Orpheus Crossing to fish out 2nd Ring.
- Four Waters / Lilith or Mother Nature or Golden Dawn - Cheat out big minions for 1-3 mana no threshold
- Boudicca / Plague of Frogs - 3 power Frogs when attacking sites
- Excalibur / Queen G or Caelestis - Immune to damage and +4 power. So 5 power with untap every turn or 11 power with Airborne and voidwalk.
Not the best deck for a wallet if you don't already have the cards, but so fun, and way more consistent than I thought it would be with as many triple threshold spells there are.
