Edit 1: Removed more sites and replaced them with rocks. This deck has completely moved away from the 60 site 0 spell experiment at this point, but would be good to revisit that. Manuscript is a lot of fun when you hit sites every activation.
Magician has been a lot of fun to think about. I've got two other versions in the works. But I think it's a bit of a trap in that it encourages us to play a game that isn't 'Sorcery'. Prison and pillow fort style decks are appealing, but miss the point of dudes on the board. And from a viability perspective, the opponent will always find a gap in the armour to push their guys through and win the game when you think you are untouchable.
Annual Fair is useful in that it can power out an Island Leviathan by activating it multiple times to hit the 8 threshold, but it also allows us to play our dudes safe from our own sharks and then later connect up the body of water. Similarly, Lacuna Entity doesn't step on the sharks turf.
Silver Bullet and Ersatz are good collection cards for Magician as Magician will often have turns where it doesn't have sites in hand and needs to do something with a tap ability.
I really want Wrath of the Sea to be a thing, but it's just too expensive. The Great Old One might even be an unnecessary addition here, but it has that amazing feeling of actually being able to achieve something.
Acid Rain to shut off River of Blood.
This started off as an experiment to see if Magician can be built with 60 sites and zero spells, and then turned into a more typical Shark deck.
Lots of draw to find win conditions and to do something through stalled turns.
The only real benefit of Magician here is to be able to draw into Great Old One or Ruler of Thul earlier.
