I didn't think Snagged would survive into Gothic, but Erik's Curiosa blessed me with some new cards, so I present the successor to Snagged, Dungeon! Many adjustments to come and you can see my introduction video here on my channel Lord of Itza!

This is one of the most massive overhauls of Dungeon to date. I found that maximizing early pressure options enhanced performance, so I maxed out every card that could attack from the bottom border of the Realm. I also decided to pull the toolboxes and try to focus on just winning quickly through bottom border aggression and pulling my opponent's avatar to my side of the board. I also opted to upgrade the minion suite with several 5 cost minions, pushing out the Failed Mutations and Acid Rain. Plague of Frogs and The Rack were added in for shenanigans as well, and so far their performance has been exceptional.

As great as Gargantula is, the three earth threshold was hold to come up with, so it has been replaced by the versatile Arjaro Exorcist.

This is a massive update for Dungeon and represents my most recent build. A large number of minions were changed in the deck, many that were personal favorites of mine like Drowned and Overbearing Bailiff, but were less effective than other options. I also finally gave up the Mimics, as Swap is a superior choice and more than enough, especially with 2 Dispels in the Collection as well. I also removed the Order of the White Wing, though I am still waffling on this decision because this minion is quite sticky and has a nice additional ability. In place of these minions, cards like Ruler of Thul and Polar Explorers were added to provide my minions with another option to strike the enemy avatar. In addition, more beasts entered the deck, including Autumn Unicorn making a return, as well as Sacred Stag and Gargantula. I also revamped the removal spells considerably to try out some new cards from Gothic, most notably Into the Abyss and Smite. Earthquake was also traded out for Call of the Sea given the heavy prevalence of water in the current meta. The Atlas also saw some changes, removing Deep Sea since it was redundant with the Flood Plains, as well as the creature generating sites. In their place, new staples from Gothic stepped in, and Ponds made a return due to the large increase in the number of beasts in the deck. Finally, a few cards left the Collection to be replaced by some of the removal that was in the main deck previously.
I am strongly considering Innsmouth Dock and Abaddon Succubus, but deciding on which cards to remove for them has been a struggle.

This updated version of Dungeon went 3-1 in the Newport, Kentucky Cornerstone. Cutting the Gloam Toads really hurt my heart, but they just did not feel effective. Kiss of Judas was also a card I hated to cut, but every time the card came up, I hated seeing it as my draw. Cutting the Autumn Unicorns was a big change, but with site destruction lurking, I felt the Order of the Sacred Oak was a better option. The one change I may rescind is returning Ruler of Thul and removing Lady of Lake. I also felt that the Guile Sirens were overkill with Coy Nixie in the deck, and the Estranged Loner were cut for Drowned. I found that having an additional two drop, especially one that could hide submerged, was most helpful.
I did learn a lot at this event. Ward is far stronger than I ever imagined, and the Orders in this deck did a ton of work. The ward was able to protect an Order in my opponent's subsequent turn and then it would be primed to Meathook in the next turn. I was extremely disappointed with Lady of the Lake and I think Ruler of Thul would have been the better option. The Acid Rain were also very helpful, shutting down my options sites, particularly those that silenced my own defensive sites. I will say that I encountered one Savior with considerable warding, and so I may look into Silence effects to help remove them.

Somehow I forgot Mirror Realm, which can be another Thin Ice or Troll Bridge. Watery Grave could also be a nice token generator with the Thin Ice and Nixie/Siren combo. I was hesitant to remove a Fertile Earth, but it seemed like the best opponent among tough choices. The Pond was also a tough choice, but it feels less reliable with the increased Spellbook.

Bruce at Golden Eagle Cards tried my deck out and said that Thin Ice with Coy Nixie was incredibly powerful. So, I added a Thin Ice and opted to remove a Deep Sea since there is so much water threshold in the deck. I also decided to cut the Order of the Sacred Oak because even though I am terrified of site destruction, I think Necromancer and token hordes will be more prominent initially. I have also found that effectively getting Root Spiders into play can be difficult, so they were cut as well. Finally I removed the Failed Mutations. While they are an awesome card, there cost of 4 means that they cannot Meat Hook until turn five. In the place of these six cards I added three Order of the White Wing for anti-token and collection plays and 3 Guile Sirens to maximize Thin Ice. Guile Sirens is limited to only moving minions, but their three power means they can submerge on Thin Ice by luring in anything of 2 power or more, so they feel worth testing. I am also strongly considering getting more copies of Led Astray into the deck because of the power of Thin Ice.
