When mana is left to rot, the Nadir Seed drinks it in and blossoms into something hungry. It thrives not on power used, but on power wasted.
A control-style deck built around a simple goal: starve the opponent’s hand, choke their options, and use Nadir Seed to punish them for not spending all their mana.
The deck really relies on using Nadir Seed, which is elite. To attempt to make it more consistent I'm using Seer avatar to dig down into my sites. I also have 1 Crossroads in the atlas if necessary. The goal is to find 1 of the 2 Trade Encampment. From there you'll be able to use it's genesis ability to trade an elite artifact in your hand with the 1 copy of Nadir Seed in your collection. There are 10 elite artifacts in this deck that aren't Nadir Seed -- hopefully this greatly increases the changes of getting it each game.
The deck relies on many stealth minions to get maddening bells/nadir seed to the opponents side of the board. There are also minions that can be played directly to opponents sites (Lugbog Cat and Saracen Raiders) as well as minions that can cross the top and bottom edges of the realm (Ruler of Thul and Aino).
Forced Discard
Pookahs combos nicely with Feign Death to force your opponent to discard. Searing Truth can force discard. You can use siege Giant or War Horse to get your Court Jester near opponent's avatar, and even Abaddon Succubus may be able to pull opponent's minions into Troll Bridge to potentially force discard.
Hopefully you can run your opponent to 0 cards in hand, keeping them top-decking.
Abundance, Black Obelisk, City of Plenty, and Avalon can all be used to add to your opponent's total mana when they no longer have many cards to play -- causing even more dmg with Nadir Seed.
