This deck is meant to capitalize on Geomancer's unique early game card advantage. By developing sites out to 5/6 mana without needing to draw sites, the goal is to ramp up to efficient threats like Amazon Warriors to outpace the opponent's strategy and either keep them on the backfoot or conquer early aggro development. These threats are backed up with premier removal like Bury for a classic, fair game plan.
The second angle of the deck is the toolbox element. Sorcery still features limited ways to shuffle one's spellbook, so there are many times when a strong spell like Craterize would end up on the bottom of your spellbook if it were in your opening hand and you needed to mulligan for cheaper cards. Common Sense allows the deck to pack a few silver bullet answers while allowing a way to take expensive cards placed at the bottom of one's spellbook and shuffle them back in, altering the chance to draw them in the mid/late game from zero to non-zero.
