Ok so I’ve play tested this quite a bit now.
I now realize the main cards in this deck are Curse and Wrath. Preferably I like to mulligan all my spells to get Curse. Coy Nixie and Riptide help use Curse effectively and stall till late game where you have the mana for a full wipe with Wrath. Then after board is clear play one of the big boys and attack twice with Grapple or Hob. Honestly, I try to use Hob on Waveshaper more often than a minion to give myself the choice of more control or mana. Don’t be afraid to use Riptide and Coy to set up a nice grouping of enemies and the Waveshape them.
This deck absolutely blows when it’s not going your way. I tried to counter this situation by adding more card advantage. This is where Manuscript and Salmon with frogs and Kythera comes in. Nothing feels better than going fishing and coming up big. Gift of Frog will be huge here.
Throne is in as a fun mini game. Can help with card draw and also this deck uses a lot of high cost cards so you may actually be able to close the game.
The rest of the cards are just for stall. Bullfrog removes, Vampire heals, Lugbog and Puffer defend, and Boggart can add some situational spice especially with Kythera.
Sometimes you cast a line and don’t catch a single thing, but it’s those big bites that keep you coming back.
