Finished 5-2
Shifty crouched low in the underbrush, his fingers pressing into the cold earth. The mountain air bit at his skin, but he welcomed the chill — it reminded him of the battle he lost, the shame he carried. That day still burned in his mind, the moment another druid shatter struck and sent him tumbling from victory’s peak. But Shifty was no coward. He was no forgotten warrior. He was back.
A sharp screech cut through the twilight. Tawny, his ever-loyal hawk, circled above, scouting their prey. Shifty smirked. His enemy thought themselves untouchable, but he had learned, he had adapted. They might have won before, but this time, the mountain itself would strike for him.
He gave a subtle signal, and Tawny dove, talons releasing a carefully perched boulder from the ridge. The massive stone rumbled down, gathering speed, picking up a thick layer of snow as it roared toward the unsuspecting enemy camp below. Shifty was already moving, his team of quick-footed raiders darting through the shadows, ready to charge the moment the chaos erupted.
A satisfying boom echoed through the valley as the avalanche of stone and ice slammed into their defenses. Cries of panic filled the air.
Shifty emerged from the frost-laden mist, a wry grin on his lips. “Remember me?” he called, his voice carrying through the shattered battlefield.
This time, revenge would be his — and with it, his Pact with the Devil would be complete.
