This is the deck I played at Ropecon in Helsinki 27.7.2025, placing 6th out of 14. The tournament was best of 3 games, and I ended up with a score of 2-2-0 (two ties).
I built the deck a day before the tournament day, so I didn't have time to practice with it. What I noticed was that in the late-game I didn't actually have time to actually cast many of my bigger spells, and ended up having tons of cards in hand. Since Battlemage draws cards on it's own, I would consider lowering the curve to be able to cast the spells drawn. But while saying that, I'm not really sure how it'd change the deck. The deck might play better being a Druid list, but I just love Battlemage.
I would definitely add a 3rd Shield Maidens. That was a great card against most deck. It provides protection from the ring and from Poison Nova that my big creatures are very afraid of.
I could consider cutting the Dispel. The deck is not too worried about a ring since the creatures are quite big. I was however scared of Grim Guisarmes so wanted to have something to deal with them if necessary, and for Atlantean Fates. But I didn't end up running against anything I would have wanted to remove.
The Maybe-board includes cards I would have played if I had owned them. The changes I would have made would have been:
