"Thank You, Come Again!"
NEW SEASON NEW ME! [TESTING]
*My first attempt at a Fire + Water brew without Elementalist.
Decided rather than going for a more straight forward aggro build with Fire that I would use the Fire for Movement/Chip Damage early.
Also instead of using Water for control, I wanted to use Water for more pressure with the combos that can be done.*
The key is to get some damage in where you can while also minimizing damage as much as possible.
Pick and choose where to play your Dragons and Cats early to extend the game.
Play your spellcasters up front to cast removal that's too far for your Avatar.
This brew plays heavy combos around 5-6 mana, so it's best to get setup by then to hit big OTK combos when least expected.
The Cores really help when they are drawn early to get those combos going sooner rather than later and Philosopher's Stone will forever be a blessing.
You don't need to OTK in this build to win.. however there are multiple options when it comes to hitting them in game.
Honorable Mentions
There are plenty of combos that can be done with other cards in the build, the ones above are just some that I built the deck around and some I've performed in game that I actually liked.
Some really good cards in here but there is also some sleeper cards in the brew which I'm also a fan of!
All in all this deck has been really fun and pretty consistent.
Will update periodically with changes.
*Please let me know if you happen to run the deck and how it goes in the comments.
Thanks in advance.* 1-800-DID-iCOOK?
Accolades & Notes
1/8 - Wanted to try 1 Minor Explosion out, dropped the Stormy Seas to the side for now... might revert back.
1/9 - Dropping a Wizard's Den for the Mirage, one is fine.. right?
I missed last weeks locals so it felt good to get back out there tonight and continue a win streak with the brew in tournament play.
There was a game where I had 14 bodies on board by turn 4 which is actually INSANE!!
I turn 2 played Adept Illusionist, turn 3 played Tadpole Pool for 3 frogs and casted Plague of Frogs (10 fkn FROGS baby!) then tapped to bring out the other Illusionist,
turn 4 played Brother Knight and grabbed his brother from the deck for 14 bodies! [SO MUCH FUN!]
