------------------Deck Tier: B---------------------
Ease of use: 3 / 10
Deck feel: 6 / 10
Competition Strength: 7.5 / 10
Matchup Info
-------------------------------------------------
Sorcerer Aggro (fury road): Favored
Sorcerer Aggro (cute/goblins): Even matchup, really comes down to sum sphere/jihad and if you can early things to stem the bleeding early
AoE (earth fire): Matchup is disfavored unless you specifically prep for it. I'd advise going into earth for things like Wraetanis titan
AoE(earth air): Matchup is even. The red minions that do stuff when they come down vastly outweighs what they get from air now.
Druid midrange: Favored
Druid control: Slightly favored
Archimago control: unfavored. Turns out both people durdling gives you plenty of time to assemble your pressure/combo. Matchup is a lot harder if you don't draw leviathan.
Archimago burn: Unknown but probably okay. Rather deal with this than craterizee
DS Jhin: Probably still the worst matchup this has
AoA: Likely even. Haven't played the matchup enough in AL
Battlemage: Slightly disfavored. Swingy and draw dependent. Did you get leviathan? Matchup feels great. You didn't? You can get there but they have the advantage.
Deck info
------------------------------------------------
This deck is still extremely difficult to play well because it requires a deep understanding of siteplacement, decks, and sequencing. I don't advise this as your first or even second deck if you are just getting into the game. Surprisingly, it held up quite well(relatively) against the current boogymen of the format and will always be good against generic creature decks. That said, the amount of games where you have oppressive starts is quite slim compared to A/B. I'd safely say in 40/20 it's an S/A tier deck while it's 50/30 counterpart is likely B tier because of non redundant effects the deck wants, clunkier additions to fit 50/30, and the transition to a more midrange strategy from full control.
Notable changes from beta:
1) Plays more midrange than control because of inconsistent draws with leviathan. Can not full rely on it anymore
2) Led astray allows for easier doors
3) Plague and Famine are your mariner's curse 4/5 that are quite a bit better.
Do you need ring in this deck? No it's not a great ring deck but it does supplement life which this deck needs more than the ping
