The main and only goal of this deck is to build up your and run around the board killing things. Early Battlemage strategies had you using to engage early and start winning the war of attrition, but this deck takes a different approach. You'll want to spend the first 4ish turns of the game setting up so that you can storm the board - once you start to move and engage, it's hard to stop and play more sites after that fact without losing tempo. You may need to spend more or less time depending on the speed of your opponent's deck.
There are many ways to play this deck and swap out certain cards to fit your playstyle - cards like , , and are all flavor wins, but not necessarily the best includes in most matchups.
When setting up, you'll want to keep an eye out for sites that give a good balance of colors - even though the deck is mostly artifacts, it is still very threshold-intensive given the fact it is all 4 elements (which is entirely because of ). You can absolutely change out some spells/sites to remove a color and focus more on the other 3, or to add generally good mana fixing like or any of the Cores.
If your hand has a good range of sites with different thresholds, then the next priority is getting your Avatar range and movement, to allow them to engage safely. The biggest threat to this deck is taking large chunks of damage from powerful minions, so any way to attack safely is a huge advantage. Keep an eye out for , , , , , and as ways to do this. Any spells that allow for movement or card draw are also helpful, like , , , and .
Your collection in this deck is flexible, as its only purpose is to make , , and act as additional copies of key cards. Silver Bullet means that you have an extra card each of your Exceptional cards that are in the Collection (for example, by having 2 in the deck and one in the Collection, you effectively have 4 copies in the deck via Silver Bullet instead of the usual 3). Trade Encampment works similarly, by allowing you to switch out an extra or for a more useful or . Ersatz Platz is a way to have more reliable mana fixing mid-game than just having to draw a site and hope it fits your needs, but it does also "waste" a turn since you will have to play Ersatz then also play the site from your Collection.
