Preliminary AL edits. Testing needed.
General plan is to play strong midrange cards with The Immortal Throne as a draw engine and alternate win-con. With Elementalist you can play the best of each element, along with as many utility sites as you can.
Currently testing:
- Leyline Henge as a draw engine. With the 4 henges, mirror realm, and mirages, this could draw quite a few cards per game.
- Annual Fair + Valley of Delight to replace most previous fixing. Beyond utility sights air is my main focus (plus towers and the new Beacon help get more explosive turns early), so only non-utility sites are in that.
- On that note, Mirage combos with the towers, the leylines, Mirror Realm, Tadpole Pool, Valley of Delight, and Wizard's Den. To me, this feels like enough of a critical mass to justify.
- The knights that seem most good. Pellinore and Britomart seem busted, and Sir Tristan could provide good utility and defenses. King Arthur is also a free 4 mana 5 power minion with Elementalist.
- Lady of the Lake may be too expensive in water for the deck, but she seems great for resilience and utility, especially with the throne itself.
Currently wanting to fix:
- The 7 drop slot seems weak for now. On the other hand, 5 seems a bit overstuffed without good direction.
- Deciding the right mix of controlling and tech spells (e.g., Feast of Crows) to well-costed minions.
- Determining whether leaning into earth may be useful.
Considering:
- Moving the deck to be an include the Round Table and an extra few Sirs to increase consistency of draw. Potential changes listed in the maybe board for now, most likely replacing the Selfsame Simulacrums, Atlantean Fate, and Land Surveyors.
