This theme deck has easily become one of my favorites to play, having lots of flavor, fun & gimmicky combos, and a bit of utility to help it along.
The theme for this deck is dragons! Unfortunately there aren't too many in the game of Sorcery at the moment, so we are going to have to accept some stand in's. Fortunately and are lizard like enough and are able to pull their weight at any point in the game
While they aren't as flashy as their winged brethren, these lizards will still help by shutting down some aggression or providing enough utility and area denial to help lock down & fend off bigger threats. Even if they fail in their task both are fire minions and can still help by providing your flamecaller with some ammo for their ability.
Sacred Scarabs are the only non-flavor addition to the deck, but have great synergy with blaze, grapple shot, and updraft ridge. These allow your scarabs to swoop over to your opponents half of the board and quickly stack damage and are a cheap way to add fire threshold for your flamecaller.
The main star of the deck is which is part of the key combo with East-West dragon. Allowing you to engulf the entire board in flames, and do your best Reign of Fire impression.
In addition, blaze itself offers you alot of utility by allowing one of your units to sail through your opponents front line and close out a game. At 3 mana this spell will also allow an early game colicky dragonettes or a sacred scarab to land on top of your opponent for an easy 4 damage while crisping up some weaker minions along the way, giving you a nice tempo swing and providing board control.
Alot of utility is also provided by the other spell casters river of flame and lava salamanders. While they also play to theme they also help to close off more lanes on the board and allow for better positioning of your projectiles, incinerates, or your big finisher .
Alot of utility is also provided by mirage, allowing for recursion of some powerful effects like or or even getting more use out of the three towers. Mirage is also a great repostitioning tool for vesuvius, river of flame, or an updraft ridge allowing them to be placed in a better position later in the game.
