New Tools Arrive in the Sorcery Events System!

Published 10 September 2026

It’s been two weeks since we launched the new Sorcery Events System, and we’ve been busy making improvements for the stores and organizers using it to bring Sorcerers together around the table.

Today, we’re highlighting several new tools that are now available, including Event Organizer permissions, custom table numbers, decklist tracking, recurring events, and more.

Run Events Without Store Admin Access

Stores can now give someone permission to run events on their behalf without making them a Store Admin.

From the Store tab, Store Admins can add Event Organizers, giving judges, community organizers, and other trusted members of their Sorcery community the ability to run events while keeping the store’s administrative settings separate.

Custom Table Numbers

Not every tournament starts at Table 1.

Organizers can now choose the starting table number for an event, allowing pairings in the Sorcery Events System to match the physical tables assigned at a store, convention, or other venue.

If your Sorcery event has been assigned Tables 21–40, for example, simply set your first table to 21 and your pairings will follow from there.

Decklist Tracking and Deck Checks

Organizers now have the option to require decklists as part of event registration.

When creating a tournament, enable Decklist Tracking to require participating players to submit their deck before they can be checked into the event. Once submitted, the Events System preserves a snapshot of that player’s registered decklist for the tournament.

Event Organizers can view submitted decklists from the Players tab during the event, and all submitted decklists remain available once the tournament is complete.

Prefer doing deck checks on paper? The new Export Deck Check option lets you print submitted decklists for physical deck checks.

Make Weekly Events Easier with Recurring Events

Running Sorcery every Wednesday night? You no longer need to create each event from scratch.

Eligible Local and Store-level events can now be set to recur when they’re created, making it easy to establish a regular schedule for weekly or other repeating events.

We’ve also added the ability to copy an existing event, so you can quickly create another event with similar settings.

We’re Continuing to Build

The Sorcery Events System has now been in the hands of stores and organizers for two weeks, and we’re continuing to improve it based on what we’re seeing and hearing. For more updates on smaller changes and updates to the Sorcery Events System we’ll be communicating them in the #tech-updates channel on the Sorcery Discord.

Thank you to all the stores, organizers, judges, and players who have been putting the system through its paces during its first few weeks in the Realm. There’s more to come!
