The wait is over! Sort of.

We've had a chance to explore the philosophy behind Frost Mage vs. Lavamancer, as well as meet both the Frost Mage and Lavamancer. Well, today, we're putting all our cards on the table!

As we mentioned back in our philosophy article, these decks were never meant to be a loose pile of powerful cards. Each has been built with a purpose, mixing a total of 69 new cards with familiar faces from across Sorcery.

New Additions to the Pack

Now that you’ve seen the full lists, a few cards deserve a closer look.

You might recognize Namira Cheetah from the Lavamancer Avatar’s art. As you might expect, she's fast, and ready to punish any opponent who gets too comfortable.The Lavamancer can shape the battlefield, and Namira Cheetah is eager to cover the distance, with cards like Ground Slam and Smoldering Hollow giving her opponents even more reason to fear getting caught.

But why race to get into position when you could already be there? Lone Wolf sneaks behind enemy lines to harass the Frost Mage’s opponents and buy time for their plans to come together. After all, it’s not always about encasing your enemies in ice and shattering them. Sometimes your strategy just needs a little more bite.

Familiar Faces, Reforged

Not every card in Frost Mage vs. Lavamancer is new. Two familiar cards are also returning with a new look and a few changes.

Fireball returns, reforged for this release. If you've played Sorcery for any length of time, you probably remember Fireball from Alpha and Beta. But when was the last time you actually cast a Fireball in the Realm? We've learned a lot since Sorcery launched, and Fireball is getting an update to better live up to its potential as one of the most iconic spells in all of fantasy.

Polar Bears returns as well, for all those who asked: “Wait. Why are there three bears, but it’s only 2 power?” Erik couldn’t bear it any longer, and Polar Bears are now 3 power with an updated cost to match their newfound strength.

Whether you’re preparing for your first contest, or you’re a veteran of the Realm who vaguely remembers casting Fireball that one time back in Alpha, Frost Mage vs. Lavamancer gives you two complete decks ready to meet across the table.
