Santiago Caruso

Santiago Caruso cultivates a unique and personal artistic language, deeply rooted in symbolist aesthetics. His work is distinguished both by its discursive complexity and the strength of his technique.

Specializing in the fantastique genre, Caruso has illustrated notable works such as Jane Eyre (Folio Society); The Chants of Maldoror (Valdemar); The Dunwich Horror, The Bloody Countess, The Monk and the Hangman's Daughter, and The King in Yellow (Libros del Zorro Rojo); Materia Oscura, and El Eco de mis Muertes (Aguijón de la Noche); The Walls of the Castle, and The Booking (Black Labyrinth).

He has created book covers for Tartarus Press, Actes Sud, Planeta, Sudamericana, and Páginas de Espuma, as well as album covers for various bands in both America and Europe. As an educator and speaker, Caruso is frequently invited to give lectures and seminars internationally.

Caruso’s artwork is featured in galleries and museums across Argentina, the United States, the United Kingdom, Slovakia, Brazil, Mexico, and Spain.
