Ian Miller (born November 11, 1946) is a renowned British fantasy illustrator and writer celebrated for his unique gothic and macabre style.
He is best known for his influential work on the Fighting Fantasy gamebooks of the mid-1980s and his contributions to Games Workshop's White Dwarf magazine, as well as various role-playing game books.
Miller’s distinct illustrations also graced Ralph Bakshi’s films Wizards (1975) and Cool World (1980s), and he produced pre-production work for DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek (2001).
His published anthologies include The Green Dog Trumpet (1979), Secret Art (1980s), and Ratspyke (with John Blanche). He has illustrated graphic novels such as Luck in the Head and The City and continues to work on projects like Corpus Pandemonium and The Broken Novel. Miller’s work is featured in solo and group exhibitions worldwide, and, of course, in Sorcery: Contested Realm!
